  for those Cadets interested in Marksmanship.</p>\n<p>This is the start of

 g your bottled water or beverage.</p>\n<h2>What is the optional program ab
 out?</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Marksmanship Program</strong> is designed to int
 roduce cadets to the safe and proficient use of air rifles for sport and r
 ecreation. It is structured to be both <strong>participatory</strong> and 
 <strong>competitive</strong>\, and is modeled after Olympic-style shooting
 .</p>\n<h2>What are Cadets Taught?</h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Safe handling a
 nd operation</strong> of air rifles (typically the Daisy 853C\, firing .17
 7 calibre pellets).</li>\n<li>The <strong>five principles of marksmanship<
 /strong>:\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Position</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Aiming</s
 trong></li>\n<li><strong>Holding</strong></li>\n<li><strong>Breathing</str
 ong></li>\n<li><strong>Trigger control</strong></li>\n</ol>\n</li>\n<li><s
 trong>Range etiquette</strong> and sportsmanship.</li>\n<li><strong>Self-d
 iscipline</strong>\, <strong>responsibility</strong>\, and <strong>confide
 nce</strong> through structured training and competition.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2
 >What about Safety?</h2>\n<p>Safety is a core component of the program:</p
 >\n<ul>\n<li>All training is conducted under the supervision of qualified 
 <strong>Cadet Instructors</strong> and <strong>Civilian Instructors</stron
 g>.</li>\n<li>The air rifles used are <strong>not classified as firearms</
 strong> under federal law due to their low muzzle velocity.</li>\n<li>Cade
 ts are trained in <strong>range safety protocols</strong>\, including hand
 ling\, loading\, and firing procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Training & Compet
 ition Levels</h2>\n<p>The program includes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Familia
 rization</strong>: Basic introduction to air rifle use (mandatory).</li>\n
 <li><strong>Classification</strong>: Skill-based shooting for qualificatio
